25-OH VD3-mAb │ Goat anti-25-OH Vitamin D3 monoclonal antibody
Product Description:
25-hydroxyvitamin D is significant because it is the major storage form of vitamin D and its levels in the blood represent the body's vitamin D nutrition status. Dietary intake of vitamin D, whether D3 or D2, is absorbed into the bloodstream and, like D3 produced in the skin, is bound to the vitamin D binding protein (DBP) and transported to the liver where it is converted into 25-hydroxyvitamin D. Therefore, the levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D in circulation are influenced by both dietary vitamin D content and the amount of sunlight exposure, leading to seasonal and geographical variations.
