EDDP Methadone Metabolite Test One Step Urine Test
Product Description:
The EDDP Methadone Metabolite Test One Step Urine Test is a rapid, one-step, lateral flow chromatographic immunoassay designed for the qualitative detection of EDDP (2-ethylidene-1,5-dimethyl-3,3-diphenylpyrrolidine), a major metabolite of methadone, in human urine. This test is used for screening purposes in clinical and forensic settings to detect methadone use by measuring the presence of its metabolite at a predetermined cut-off concentration. The device offers quick and accurate results, making it suitable for point-of-care testing.
Application:
Methadone is metabolized in the liver, and the secondary amine group generated by N-demethylation and the ketone carbonyl ring synthesize inactive pyrrolidine derivatives. Its main metabolites are EDDP and EMDP, among which, the detection of EDDP can be used as evidence to determine methadone smoking. The EDDP EDDP Methadone Metabolite Test (Urine) yields a positive result when the concentration of Methadone Metabolite in urine exceeds 100ng/ml.
