Product Description:
Tuberculosis (TB) is a chronic, progressive mycobacterial infection caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis (M. tuberculosis), which primarily affects the lungs. It is an airborne disease spread from person to person through the air when people with lung TB cough, sneeze, or spit, propelling TB germs into the air. The infection can remain latent without causing symptoms for many years, but in some cases, it progresses to active TB disease characterized by symptoms such as a productive cough, fever, weight loss, and malaise.
