Product Description:
Toxoplasma gondii is a protozoan parasite that infects most species of warm-blooded animals, including humans, and causes the disease toxoplasmosis. Immunocompetent individuals may present with fever, lymphadenopathy, muscle aches, and headache. Congenitally infected children may suffer impaired vision and mental retardation. Immunosuppressed patients may have central nervous system disease (encephalitis).
