HIV-gp41 │ Recombinant Human Immunodeficiency Virus1 (HIV-gp41) antigen
Product Description:
HIV, or human immunodeficiency virus, is a retrovirus that primarily targets cells of the human immune system, particularly CD4-positive T-cells, leading to their destruction or impairment. This progressive depletion of the immune system results in immunodeficiency, making individuals more susceptible to opportunistic infections and certain cancers. The virus is transmitted through contact with infected blood, semen, vaginal fluids, and breast milk, with sexual contact, sharing of needles, and from mother to child during childbirth being the primary modes of transmission.
