Product Description:

Rubella, also known as German measles, is a contagious viral disease caused by the Rubella virus, which is the sole member of the genus Rubivirus in the family Matonaviridae. Clinically, rubella is characterized by a mild prodrome of low-grade fever, malaise, and lymphadenopathy, which is followed by a generalized erythematous maculopapular rash that begins on the face and spreads to the trunk and extremities. The rash typically lasts for about 3 days and is often pruritic. Arthralgia and arthritis can occur, particularly in adult women. Complications are rare but can include encephalitis and hemorrhagic manifestations.
