Strep A-mAb │ Rabbit anti-Group A Streptococcus monoclonal antibody
Product Description:
Group A Streptococcus (GAS), also known as Streptococcus pyogenes (Strep A), is a Gram-positive, beta-hemolytic bacterium that is a significant human pathogen. It is characterized by its ability to cause a wide spectrum of clinical manifestations, ranging from superficial infections such as pharyngitis and impetigo to more severe and invasive diseases like necrotizing fasciitis, toxic shock syndrome, sepsis, maternal sepsis, osteomyelitis, and meningitis. Strep A infection can also lead to immune-mediated sequelae, including acute rheumatic fever (ARF) and acute post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis (APSGN), which can result in chronic rheumatic heart disease (RHD) and chronic kidney disease (CKD) respectively.
