Product Description:

Transmissible gastroenteritis coronavirus (TGEV) is one cause of the enteritis in pigs. It can cause high mortality rate especially in young pigs. The TGEV belongs to the genus Alphacoronaviridae 1, similar to Canine Coronavirus, Feline Coronvirus and Feline Infetious peritonitis virus.
The TGEV Antigen Rapid Test is a lateral flow immunochromatographic assay for the qualitative detection of TGEV antigen (TGEV Ag) in pig's feces or vomit specimen.

Principle

The TGEV Antigen Rapid Test is based on sandwich lateral flow immunochromatographic assay. The test device has a testing window for the observation of assay running and result reading. The testing window has an invisible T (test) zone and a C (control) zone before running the assay. When the treated sample was applied into the sample hole on the device, the liquid will laterally flow through the surface of the test strip and react with the pre-coated monoclonal antibodies. If there is TGEV antigen in the specimen, a visible T line will appears. The C line should always appear after a sample is applied, which indicates a valid result. By this means, the device can accurately indicate the presence of TGEV antigen in the specimen.

Application:

The Tgev AG Swine Transmissible Gastroenteritis Coronavirus Antigen Test is used for the rapid detection of Transmissible Gastroenteritis Virus (TGEV) antigens in fecal or intestinal samples from pigs, offering a quick and convenient method for the preliminary diagnosis of TGEV infections in veterinary settings.

Storage: 2-30°C,DO NOT FREEZE. Do not store the test kit in direct sunlight.
