Background:

Treponema pallidum (TP), a pathogen of human syphilis, is one of the major venereal diseases in humans. Treponema pallidum has the structure of cytoplasmic membrane and outer membrane, the outer membrane is composed of phospholipids and a small amount of membrane proteins. The pathogenicity is due to its surface capsular mucopolysaccharides adsorbed on mucopolysaccharide receptors on the surface of mucopolysaccharide containing tissue cells, decomposed mucopolysaccharides of host cells, and obtained substances needed for capsular synthesis. TpN17 protein, TpN47 protein, TpN62 protein and TpN15 protein are important structural proteins of treponema pallidum, which play an important role in treponema pallidum infection immunity.
